hydrangeaceae

skin silk slick and tanner
a new freckle, spending the day
wearing gray, fits like a foxglove
late spring early summer.
I was told, "you're never careful"
and I heard "oh what big feelings I have, oh what
a love I have"

I count down, take rest
patio furniture and cigarettes
like loss forever,
karma sending me letters.

I want to buy you every flower in the market,
specifically a sweet mock orange
and we can fill the water can each night
and step over your makeshift wire fence.
finally I am tired,
saying it like its such a struggle
to let go.
